A century-old railway bridge in Saint-Denis will be replaced from Friday October 25 to 27 and for two weekends in November. RER lines B, D and Transilien lines H, K, as well as TER Paris – Laon and Paris – Beauvais will be disrupted.
The message from the authorities is clear: don’t travel if you can on these dates, especially on Friday 25 October. The replacement of a railway bridge will severely disrupt traffic on the northern rail axis, particularly at Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis).
“We won’t be able to transport as many people as usual. Those who can avoid traveling must do so”, announces Marc Guillaume, préfet of the Île-de-France region.
Half of the service will be provided on RER lines B and D and Transilien line H. Line K to and from Paris will be completely suspended. The Paris – Laon and Paris – Beauvais TER lines will have reduced services.
