WRP is licensed by the French Authorities (Arcom) with frequencies on the airwaves in Paris, Cannes, Nice, Caen and Monaco, using the new DAB+ technology (not FM). We serve an estimated population of 12 million, who can tune in at home or in their car. WRP – along with our music station WRP MusicMix – can also be streamed via the RadioPlayer app (available from Apple/Android stores). Our reason for existing is to be a source of quality news and entertainment targeting the non-French speakers, such as tourists, foreign students, migrants and expats who seek reliable unbiased information about France. WRP is entirely volunteer-run, nobody is paid except our journalists.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on listener donations, public funding from the French Ministry of Culture, and private Corporate sponsorships. We’re a registered charity operating under the name “Association World Radio Paris”, which means that donations and corporate sponsorships are tax-deductable.
